Mural, Mural on the Wall

The signature look of the Mission District is murals.  Beautiful painted colors.  Everywhere you look.  An alley.  A bookstore.  Walls.  Houses. Sometimes historical, sometimes humorous themes.

DSC04768DSC04759DSC04770DSC04758We found interesting shops in the neighborhood as well.  Our favorite browse was in the best design eyewear store we’ve seen, Fine Arts Optical.

But, this being San Francisco, the high point of the night was food and being with friends.  We met at Cha-Ya, a Japanese vegetarian restaurant.  The prices were modest.  The food was delicious. Our friends, Stephen and Brian, always select the perfect restaurants and introduce us to a special view of their city when we’re in town.
