Laid back (where else?) in California

When we arrived in California, the South Bay area was cold and rainy. The unexpected weather and busyness of our first days here left us a bit on edge. All things must pass, including bad weather. The huge, unpleasant weather front gradually moved east. Our days here still began with a chill but blossomed into glorious sun and warmth. Now we could relax and enjoy spending our days outside.

We took such a long afternoon walk at Vasona Park that we were amongst the last to leave – allowing us to capture a quiet moment in the late afternoon light.

We’d never seen so many American coots on a lawn—a “cover of coots” is the right term.

We enjoy warm and laid back places. No wonder we enjoy coming back every year to California.

Our place in Australia is warm and we know how to relax and you are both welcome anytime.
PS and lots of painting too. xx

    • Sounds like what we’re looking for, including the painting. Next time we’re headed for Australia, we’ll alert you in advance so you can select the paint colors before we get there. Cheers.

  2. My first time visiting your blog – I am so impressed. Thanks for posting all this wonderful information. My husband and I are also enthusiastic travelers. We retired youngish and enjoy living simply. It’s such a treat to find so many here in the blogoshere with similar interests. I’ll look forward to browsing your posts. All the best – Susan
